Shoot for Chronic (The Manual) Rhymefest

Shoot for Chronic (The Manual) Rhymefest

If you are not familiar with the ratings 1= oregano, 2= homegrown, 3= mid-grade, 4= dat purp, 5= Chronic
If one must shoot, Shoot for the chronic. Ready. Aim. Fire!

Bullets for (The Manual)
· Coolness. Oh no he didn’t. He to me back to the Cabbage Patch. 11% dis. This is mix tape quality, hence the overall concept. Kind of paper-thin. Yet it set’s the stage of what is too follow.

1. Native MEDLEY IS like chillin with De La Soul on a Saturday afternoon.

2. Pt.2 switches to what I would imagine Kanye West sounded like in 1990 (I guess). I always liked that Master Ace line though.

3. Pt3. Has the Chronic and Tribe called quest. The concept of lyrics don’t match the beat. It sounds forced yet I am intrigued to see what follows.

· Deals a Deal. This Marvin Gaye and CL Smooth excursion is nice and Premier like in essence; this is dopeness complete with nice turntables. Rhymefest should be named rhyme feast on this one. Inspired a hit of the sticky. Perhaps this compilation has life and legs. Where is the big bong? Place in da crate.

· Rhymefest vs. Big Daddy Kane… Truly genius not ingenuous. Have to say Scram Jones out loud though… DJ Fodder. Place in da crate.

· Think About It: This is a Radio sounder with awesome flavor. Thought it was Ludacris at first…I would blaze this joint again. Sadat X seals the blunt. Place in da crate.

· Okay, let smoke and ride out. Tender thug. Hilarity ensues. This smoke definitely needs some Devin the Dude/ Andre 3000 remix with a radio mix. The hook sanger sucks too. I blame the engineer though. 2 for 5, 5 for 10? Classic. Not.

· Supersonic: That was a beatbox! ‘Nuff said. This makes JJ FAD sound refreshing. This hip hop is not for the faint of heart. Too long and seems like it should be B roll material for a documentary. Especially if the documentary includes Eminem in a battle… I’d rewind it just because I can’t believe he did that. Not only that but who don’t want to smile when they hear that sample? Place in da crate.

· Wup your ass. Afroman rekindled.. Next.

· Pulls me back summons the spirit of 2pac and is a rare gem. This is an awesome concept all around. Autotune of the background singer may date this track in the future. Me thinks it’s the best song overall.. Place in da crate.

· Pop it off. That should be the name. The Real name is Party 4 free. Nice and Smooth are funky. Reminds me of skippin class to go see Yo MTV raps on Daytona beach. Not on TV… LIVE!!! Remember the times. Please play this at the party!!! Place in da crate.

· The Overpaid Rhymefest is in da house!!! Rhymefest for President. This is the song I play in MY Cadillac. Christ had undercover haters??? Right brain/ left brain. Place in da crate.

Bullet Shell: Thanks for the Cornel West clip I asked you for.

· Exodus 5:1 That sounds like me. It is reminiscent of the flavor of Jesus Walks. Dead Prez on the remix would be nasty. Especially if the remix included the previous Cornel Clip.

· Goin In. No opinion. Blah. Wanna be a baller? Perhaps too much David Banner in the heavy rotation. Sounds desperate. Perhaps if performed by Scarface…

· Memory Lane inspired the first time I heard the 1st Wu tang album. Unfortunately the sample is so familiar it inspires no specific recollection.

· Sometimes I rhyme slow is The apology for being dope. Crack cannot help being crack. It is what it is. People are the same way. If you got some crack pussy or crack dick in your life consider baby mamma drama (tangent). Excellent cohesive follow to the previous track. Place in da crate.

· Prove Myself is filler or overfill.

· RNQ screams Public Enemy wants their Chuck D back. One should listen to some of the latest Ice Cube release to get a clue on this flavor. The dart is way off bulls-eye. At least say “Yeah, Boy!” two snaps in a z hated it. I hope for a banger. Ohh. That’s the end. Who put Dianna Reeves in the rotation>>>

· Joe Budden Mixtape to Wax! Attempt reminiscent.

Final Grade= 8.5/16 Mid-grade and no roach.

Range Control: Needs an overall mix?
